Hi everyone,

I am an undergraduate student at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Being an eager robotics enthusiast and I am really interested to participate in GSOC18 under this organization. I have been the member of Autonomous Ground Vehicle research group in my institute and have worked with ROS, Gazebo & OpenCV, having experience in the field of path-planning and vision and controls.

I had a few doubts in regarding the tasks. But before asking them here directly, I wanted to know if it is ok to post my doubts here or is there some other forum for that.

Thank You

Yours Sincerely

Sohan Rudra

HI Sohan,

this is the right place to ask.

Just follow the application instructions and contact the potential mentors of the projects you are interested in. Interact with them in order to better prepare your project proposal. Yes, there are some programming tests required.

Installing JdeRobot (directions here) and running some examples are good initial steps.

In addition, submitting the corresponding PullRequest to any open issue is a good idea too.
