Hey everyone

I am a CS undergrad at IIT Kharagpur, India. I am interested in participating in GSOC 2018 under JdeRobot. I have worked quite a lot with computer vision (OpenCV) and 3D point clouds (PCL). I am a member of Autonomous Ground Vehicle research group here at my university and thus have some experience working with robots.

I am really interested to get started with JdeRobot. The projects sound really interesting. I saw the three tasks on the GSOC 2018 page of JdeRobot. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what else to do bolster my chances of getting selected for GSOC.

Hi Arijit,

just follow the application instructions and contact the potential mentors of the projects you are interested in. Interact with them in order to better prepare your project proposal.

Installing JdeRobot (directions here) and running some examples are good initial steps.

In addition, submitting the corresponding PullRequest to any open issue is a good idea too.
